On Saturday, February 22, 2025, Liveable Moonee Valley participated in the Moonee Valley Festival, held at Queens Park in Moonee Ponds. This annual event, organized by the Moonee Valley City Council, is the largest free community celebration in the area, featuring live music, market stalls, delicious food, and various activities for all ages.

Our organization set up a stall to engage with residents, share our mission, and discuss the proposed planning and development changes affecting our community. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many residents expressing support for our position and concerns about the potential impacts of these developments.

In addition to community members, local council, state, and federal representatives attended the festival. We took this opportunity to engage with them directly, emphasizing the importance of considering residents' voices in the planning process. Our discussions focused on ensuring that any development aligns with the community's needs and preserves the unique character of Moonee Valley.

The festival provided a valuable platform for fostering dialogue between residents, community groups, and policymakers. We are encouraged by the support received and remain committed to advocating for a liveable and sustainable Moonee Valley.
